Qwintess came to life on January 1st, 2019 — born from the dream of founders Theo van Duijn and Ton Koelewijn. With over sixty years of combined experience in the financial world, they sensed a digital revolution was coming. And they knew it would be young professionals — born digitals — who would lead the way.
But their previous workplace wasn’t ready for that shift. So Theo and Ton took matters into their own hands and launched Qwintess.
A few years later, their mission is complete, and they’ve passed the torch. But they’re still close by — offering guidance and support when it’s needed.
“Theo and Ton showed us that true innovation starts with the courage to let go.”
– Julian Jonker
Qwintess was built to be a breeding ground for young financial and tax talent — a place where fresh ideas and digital thinking take the lead.
Theo and Ton didn’t just want to bring in “new blood” now and then; they envisioned a culture of continuous learning and development.
The result? A company where every voice counts, people lift each other up, and plans for the future are always evolving.
“I was the first to dive into Qwintess’s talent pool — and I’m here to keep building something bigger than just a client base.”
– Lynn Pennings
The name Qwintess nods to the fifth element: that intangible force that drives people. Theo and Ton set out to build a culture around what can’t be measured — joy, passion, purpose. Because when work is fun, great things happen.
That’s what Qwintess stands for today.
And tomorrow? Same story.
